You should make time to visit a doctor as soon as you can after identifying the condition as a yeast infection. This is to confirm that you have only a yeast infection and not a more serious medical issue. Some STD’s are known to have symptoms that mimic those of a yeast infection. Without treatment, these copycat diseases have been known to cause severe and lifelong health problems, including infertility.

Are you celebrating your health this month? May is Women’s Health month and I’ve been finding ways to push myself and to make sure I’m keeping on track with my health.

Before 2017 I would have sworn that I never would take a picture of myself after a workout. All red in the face, blemishes showing and hair a mess. This year is different and there’s no better month than to start talking about the changes I’ve been making for myself.

One of the first things I did was drop my excuses and find a way to workout. It became really easy when my best friend Alicia, wanted to join a gym. She asked me and I said we will find the one we love and sign up for a year.

We searched all over our local county, found what we wanted and signed up. Our goal was to workout during the 2 hour period that our kids are in school. Since we both manage our own working hours, there was no reason not to unless we had an appointment and the gym still has later hours.

I really love the release of stress I get and the feeling after crushing a workout is amazing! I’ve noticed myself becoming stronger and my cardio sessions lasting longer too.

The biggest change has been a work in progress. We both love to eat and we really enjoy food that tastes good. The first healthy food we found that we both loved was Healthy Choice frozen meals. Antigua – Health Womens

Nestled between the turquoise waters of the Caribbean Sea and the mighty North Atlantic Ocean, Antigua is a tiny island that makes up the second half of the country, Antigua and Barbuda.
With an area of 108 sq. km. and a fascinating landscape of low-lying limestone and coral islands with some higher volcanic areas, the island is a haven for people looking for a place to relax and have fun in their own tiny spot in the Caribbean.

The first people to inhabit Antigua were called the Siboney or “stone people” who stayed on the island until at least 2400 B.C. Later, the Arawaks, who were originally from Venezuela, followed the Siboney and came to settle on the chain of islands, now called the Lesser Antilles. However, the warlike Carib people drove the Arawaks out of the islands.

In 1493, Christopher Columbus discovered Antigua by accident and named it Santa Maria la Antigua, after a church in Seville, Spain. The first body of English settlers took possession of the island in 1632 but were soon driven out by the Carib Indians.

Since then, the island became a battleground for possession with the native Caribs on one side, the French and the British on the other. Finally, in the Treaty of Breda, the British regained Antigua and possessed it until 1981 when the island gained its independence, along with Barbuda.

Antigua has an average rainfall of 45.6 inches. However, due to great variations every year and the absence of rivers, the island is subject to frequent droughts. Even so, the soil, especially in the interior, is very fertile, producing export quality sugar and pineapples, plus local favorites like sweet potatoes, yams, maize, and guinea corn.

Temperatures on the island range from mid-seventies in the winter. In the summer, the temperatures rise up a notch to around mid-eighties. Antigua is considered as one of the sunniest parts of the Eastern Caribbean Islands with constant northeast trade winds. Its naturally rocky coast is much indented by bays and arms, providing excellent harbours that afford shelter during storms.

Antigua’s single airport, the V C Bird Airport, is serviced by several major airlines from all over the world, including Virgin Atlantic, British Airways, USAirways, American Airlines, Continental, BWIA, and Air Canada. There are regular flights to the neighboring island of Barbuda from V C Bird.

Additionally, Antigua has an English Harbour on its southeastern coast which is famed as a “hurricane hole” because it provides a protected shelter during violent storms. Today, the English Harbour and the neighboring village of Falmouth are world famous for luxury yachting and sailing.

A vast portion of activities you can do in Antigua involves water excursions, such as sailing, boating, and yachting. But for the land-lubber, there is also a multitude of alternative activities available, including cricket, tennis, eco tours, golfing, hiking, bird watching, hunting, and riding.

Condominium Association Owed Duty of Care to Resident Who Fell on Stairway Lacking Center Railing – Appellate Law NJ Blog

., 452 N.J. Super. 574 (App. Div. 2017).  The Appellate Division got in under the wire, on this final business day of 2017, with this opinion by Judge Hoffman in a personal injury case.  Plaintiffs, husband and wife, lived at 303 Sunset Avenue, Asbury Park, a  condominium building.  The husband fell and injured himself while walking down a 13-foot wide stairway that led from the building to a walkway.  The stairway had railings on the sides but no railing in the center, though there was evidence that there had once been such a railing.  Plaintiffs sued (the wife sued per quod) the condominium association and the property manager, asserting that they had negligently created a dangerous condition by not having a center railing.  The Law Division granted defendants a directed verdict.  Plaintiffs appealed, and the Appellate Division reversed and remanded for a new trial.

The Law Division had ruled that the husband was a licensee who was aware of the condition of the stairway.  The standard of review was whether reasonable minds could differ as to the outcome if all evidence that supports the opponent of a motion for directed verdict is accepted as true and if that party were given all reasonable inferences from the evidence.  Applying that standard, Judge Hoffman found that the directed verdict was error.

After discussing Supreme Court cases that discussed the status of common law categories such as invitees, licensees, and others, Judge Hoffman stated that the panel “did not “view plaintiff’s status as a licensee or an invitee as the controlling issue.  Instead, a statute establishes the Association’s duty to plaintiff.”  N.J.S.A. 46:8B-14 required the Association to maintain and repair the common elements of the condominium, and a Hotel and Multiple Dwelling regulation required a center railing for stairways of this width.  The fact that the absence of a center railing was “obvious and not hidden” did not override those statutory and regulatory enactments, since the Association and the property manager “were in a better position to know that the absence of a center handrail presented a safety issue and the need to correct it.”

Judge Hoffman noted that the Association could have adopted a by-law immunizing it from negligence actions by unit owners, as permitted by N.J.S.A. 2A:62A-13(a).  The Association had not done that here.  That may be the biggest lesson of today’s decision.

The process related improvements was an ongoing activity with every passing month. We helped Consulting team to deliver on Technology related innovations utilizing our Health1 apps built on Salesforce platform enabling healthcare providers address both scale and volume. With doctor-starved countries like India, facilitation and adoption of technology becomes even more important.

Health1 app, allow recording of the diagnosis process; simplifying the routine treatment process and help to monitor follow-up care. Health1 helped health care providers to get localized for Indian scenarios and we observed an increased engagement between the care-seeker and provider. One important customization brought in the app was around scheduling of an appointment and managing the associated workflow. The doctors and physicians were often attending the emergency services leading to the last-minute changes to the schedule and even cancellation of an appointment – leading to annoyed Patient experience. This custom new feature allowed health care provider to manage their dynamic changing schedule and utilize collaborative platform to keep up with the status on appointments with Patients.

For another health care provider, Health1 built on Salesforce helped their Psychiatrists Department to drive appointments and communication over a web-based interface and tablets.  It was a self-service process where Patients, themselves, could create an online appointment and consult doctor online – following up with chatter communications for tracking & monitoring progress. Health1 let the particular healthcare provider manage delivery of health care services. Health Care provider could eventually become specialists in relatively rare sub specialties  of medicine.

As a health care provider, non-adoption of Technology could be a serious mis-step. In this era where there’s a need for Mass Production of Healthcare services, you would need to innovate on – Process and Technology – simultaneously. You would need a three-fold strategize to make sure a world-class delivery of health care services –

  • It has to be both Top-down and bottom-up approach,
  • Health care provider should be clear with growth and reach strategies and
  • Yes, Skill upliftment and training should be an integral part
