Bayer’s latest innovation isn’t simply a Blood
Glucose Meter or a Blood Glucose Test Strip. It’s
a fresh approach to diabetes care and it’s called Ascensia.
Bayer recognizes that the needs of people with diabetes and healthcare
professionals vary extensively and is developing products, services,
and support systems to suit the needs of the individual. This approach
has allowed Bayer to create an array of user-friendly products in
the Ascensia line.
Bayer’s Glucometer is the name patients and
healthcare professionals have come to recognize and trust for their
meters and strips. Ascensia is designed to become
the name people recognize for all products, services and support
programs that go beyond meters and strips to provide more comprehensive
diabetes care.
In Fall 2002, the brand names and package design for the Glucometer
Blood Glucose Meters and Blood Glucose Test Strips
will change, but the great products inside will remain the same.
This name change will provide the foundation for the introduction
of a series of exciting new products and services in 2003 and beyond.
